Age-Friendly Thunder Bay is undertaking a project to develop a community-wide action plan to help address the needs and interests of people over the age of 60 years. We believe that by bringing together government, businesses, organizations and people of all ages we can build a vibrant Thunder Bay, based on the World Health Organization’s Eight Domains of Livability.
Over the next 12 months, bain smith consulting will be developing the Thunder Bay Age-Friendly Community Wide Action Plan in three phases:
Phase One: Custom Needs Assessment
January to September 2016
Phase Two: Thunder Bay Age-Friendly Community Wide Action Plan
October 2016 to February 2017
Phase Three: Organizational Structure Recommendation
A Custom Needs Assessment will be prepared to further understand today's older adult community and their needs. Following that, a comprehensive five-year Age Friendly Community Wide Action Plan will be developed for Thunder Bay. Lastly, an Organizational Structure Recommendation will be made. The overall project will be completed in February 2017.
